The Forestry Commission operate Dalby Forest, offering something all year round.
It is renowned for it’s world class mountain biking trails. Within Dalby Forest the award winning visitor centre, and courtyard complex are worth a visit which includes bike hire from Dalby Forest Cycle Hub or the bike barn in Thornton-Le-Dale. Numerous way-marked walks and picnic areas line the forest trails. Explore Dalby Forest by mountain bike, foot, or vehicle.
Just down the road lies Thornton-Le-Dale, it is a beautiful quaint English village and undoubtedly one of the most picturesque in Yorkshire. With its olde charm, scenic surroundings and friendly atmosphere, a visit is a must-do before you leave.
Bangers & Cash
hit documentary series follows the family-run Mathewsons’ classic car auctioneer business, which is based in the picturesque village of Thornton-Le-Dale in the North York Moors National Park. The charming & picturesque village already attracts many visitors but is now well and truly on the classic car enthusiasts’ map.
Bangers & Cash is available to watch now on Yesterday Channel or UKTV Play.
Follow the nature trail around the village, or strike out further on a walking trail to nearby Ellerburn, an even smaller hamlet with the ancient St Hilda’s church, where fragments of carved stones dating to the Saxon times have been found. Also nearby is Dalby Forest, two miles from Bangers & Cash a haven for mountain bikers, star gazers and hikers.

Our family working farm and Caravan & Camping site allows visitors to Dalby Forest the opportunity to be centrally located. We have been operating for 42 years and welcome families to our farm.
